Even if my father and mother abandon me, the Lord will hold me close. NLT
Your value is not defined by how your parents loved you or how they didn't love you.
Your value is forever defined by My eternal affection for you. For I am your true Father and you are My beloved child. All heaven knows this to be true and if you quiet yourself and reflect on this for a moment, deep inside, you will know this is true as well.
The reality is you did not come into existence by the will of your parents. They partnered with Me but I am the One who carried you in My heart before the foundation of the world (1) and I am the One who knit you together in your mother's womb (2). I was there the day you were born (3) and I have been there every day since.
When you begin to really grasp that your parents could only love you with the same measure that they themselves were first loved with, I will give you the grace to forgive them from your heart. And as you are able to forgive and release them from not being the parents you needed, you will find a new freedom to receive love directly from the source of all love... Me.
If you are willing, I will also give you the grace to see your precious life as I see you. The truth is you are not an orphan, but a much loved child of the living God and your Big Brother Jesus made the way home so you could know this beyond a shadow of a doubt.
So run into My outstretched arms right now so you can experience the glorious reception I have for you. Don't be timid, come boldly into My throne room so you can receive all the grace and all the help you need in this very moment (4) and I promise to be a Father to YOU! (5)
Love, Your Dad. Almighty God
Father, I thank you that your love for me is unconditional and not based on my performance. I pray that you would help me today to really believe that you are my true Father and I am your legitimate child and heir. Thank you for receiving me like no earthly parent ever could. I ask that your Holy Spirit would make this revelation more real to me today than ever before. Amen.
