 Hebrews 12:5-6: And have you forgotten the encouraging words God spoke to you as his children? He said, “My child, don’t make light of the Lord’s discipline and don’t give up when he corrects you. For the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes each one he accepts as his child.” NLT My precious child, because I love you so dearly, I continually watch over you and teach you the way you should go. There are times in your journey, when I need to lovingly correct you, so that you would be protected from the things that could cause you harm. In the same way a loving parent would want to shield their little one from touching a hot stove, so it is My heart to direct you away from things that could ultimately damage your beautiful heart. While these times of discipline might be difficult for you in the short term, they will ultimately produce a harvest of righteousness in your soul. But never mistake My discipline as punishment dear one, for there is nothing in My heart towards you that seeks to punish you in any way. So don't be afraid and don't feel ashamed when My loving discipline corrects you. For it is a token of My faithful love for you and it proves that you truly are My beloved heir.
