APRIL 26
My love is whole-hearted.
Matthew 22:36-40
36 “Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the law of Moses?” 37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.” NLT

When Jesus told the people that the Great Commandment was to love Me with all their heart, soul, and mind, He described how I love. When I love someone, I love them with every fiber of My being. I want you to know that the Great Commandment was never meant to be a burden for you to live up to. It is just how My love works in a relationship with you.
The only way you can love Me with all your heart, soul, and mind is first to receive the full measure of My love, then love Me back. When you realize this is how My love works, it will take the pressure off you trying to initiate good works to Me through religious striving. For I never created you to be the initiator of love, dear one. I created you to be a love sponge into which I could pour My love.
The more you are filled with My love, the more you will be able to love Me back with that same love, and of course, then you will be able to love your neighbor as yourself.
