What We Believe...
We believe there is one God who lives forever in three Persons: the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Ephesians 2:18)
We believe that within their eternal community of perfect self-giving family love, the dream for humanity was born before the foundation of the world. (1 John 4:16; Genesis 1:26; Ephesians 1:3-6)
We believe in the creation story of Genesis, where God spoke all things into existence for His absolute delight. His crowning achievement was fathering the human race by bestowing His image into and onto humanity so they would reflect His being and live in oneness with Him as His beloved children. (Genesis 1-2; Luke 3:38; Isaiah 64:8; Colossians 1:15-16; Revelation 4:11)
We believe in every human life's intrinsic value and dignity as God’s image bearers and His offspring. (Genesis 1:27; Acts 17:28; James 3:9)
We believe the human race's fall happened because Adam and Eve were deceived into believing the lie of separation. They thought they needed to separate themselves from God and become independent to become like God. (Genesis 3)
We believe when they chose to go their way, their true identity as God’s son and daughter became distorted. When the eyes of their human reason were opened by choosing separation with God over union with Him, the eyes of their spiritual hearts became closed, and they were blinded to the truth. (Genesis 3:6-7; 2 Corinthians 4:4)
We believe this distortion brought further deception about themselves, each other, and ultimately, God Himself. They no longer knew who they were and whom they belonged to. In their self-imposed isolation and lost state, they felt the effects of sin for the first time. Since Adam and Eve were created to live forever, it was an act of God's mercy that caused death to enter the world to prevent them from living forever in this fallen state. (Genesis 3:22-24; Romans 5:12; Romans 3:23; Ecclesiastes 3:11)
The human race has struggled with this lostness ever since. We have all walked out of step with our true identity as God’s beloved children. And as such, we have been deceived, with a heart blockage that has caused us to believe that we were disconnected from God. (Isaiah 59:1-2; Romans 3:23; Romans 8:7)
While sin created a barrier and caused us to feel separated from God in our minds, God has never separated Himself from us. We believe He has never stopped chasing us down, pursuing us, and finding us in our deception. We believe He relentlessly calls us into our true identity as His beloved children. (Colossians 1:21; Jeremiah 3:19-20; Acts 17:24-28; Galatians 4:6-7; Romans 8:35-39)
We believe that God’s plan from before the creation of the cosmos was to come into our world of deception, lies, and hatred, put on our humanity, and identify with our brokenness. He did this in the person of Jesus Christ, the very Son of God. (Hebrews 1:1-3; John 3:16-17; Colossians 1:15-20; Hebrews 2:14-18)
We believe that Jesus Christ came to earth as fully God and fully man to reveal the heart of the Father towards His lost children and to redeem us back to our original purpose. Jesus came in mercy and grace as the great physician to heal us from the disease of sin and death. (John 14:6-11; John 10:10; Hebrews 2:10-11)
We believe the Son of God, Jesus, was born of a virgin, led a life of perfect union with His Father, performed mighty miracles of deliverance, and came to set us free. We believe in His sinless life, death on the cross, bodily resurrection, ascension to the Father, and return in power and glory. (John 1:14-18)
We believe that Jesus Christ took upon Himself all the sin that plagued humanity like a disease and willingly laid His own life down upon the cross. He did this in the power of the Holy Spirit and submission to the Father’s will. It was our wrath and hatred that put Him on the cross, and it was for the sin of the entire world that He died. (John 19:28-30; Matthew 27:50-52; 1 John 2:1-2; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 10:11-18)
We believe Jesus rose from the dead through the mighty work of the Father, conquering the effects of sin, separation, and death for the entire human race. The power of death and sin died with Jesus; life came through His resurrection. (Romans 5:17-18; Romans 6:1-11; 1 Timothy 4:10)
We believe God the Father was in Christ, reconciling the entire world to Himself, not counting people's sins against them. As believers, we are called to share this same message of reconciliation with every person on this planet. For though God reconciled Himself to us, we still need to be reconciled to God in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:18-21)
We believe that when Jesus rose from the dead, He signaled the dawn of a new day, where now all who dare to believe can experience a supernatural rebirth. Now born of God Himself, by the Holy Spirit's power, we can be completely restored to the Father's intended purpose for our lives as His beloved children. (John 17:20; John 3:1-6; Romans 8:15-17)
We all need this spiritual awakening so the eyes of our spiritual hearts that were closed when Adam and Eve fell could be reopened. (Romans 13:11; Ephesians 1:17-18)
We believe Jesus Christ has ascended to heaven and sits as God and man at the Father’s right hand. He is ruling and reigning over the earth through His Spirit and church. His Kingdom was established at His ascension and will continue to spread over the entire world until His final return. (Mark 16:19; Luke 22:29)
We believe in the bodily return of Jesus Christ as Lord and King over the cosmos. Heaven will come down to earth, and we will live forever in unhindered union with God. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18; Revelation 21)
We believe that, at the end of all things, Jesus will hand over the kingdom to His Father so that God may be all in all. (1 Corinthians 15:24-28)
We believe in the mandate of the Church to be ministers of reconciliation to the whole world, preaching the gospel of the Kingdom, making apprentices and baptizing them, teaching them to change their thinking and to submit to the Lordship of Christ. (Matthew 28:16-20)
We believe that Jesus invites us into His abundant, eternal life through the supernatural revelation of our true identity as sons and daughters of Father God. As we enter His life, the deception, shame, loneliness, and all brokenness are dismantled. We are transformed by the truth of who God says we are. We become whole. In Christ Jesus, we belong in God’s family; we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that we are home and that nothing in all creation can separate us from God's love. (John 10:10; 1 John 3:1; John 14:1-3; Romans 8:35-39)
We believe this gift of salvation has been freely given to all through the once-and-for-all sacrifice of Jesus Christ, but it needs to be received by faith for it to be experienced. (1 John 4:14; Hebrews 10:10; John 1:12-13; Ephesians 2:8-10)
We believe it is God's eternal desire for everyone to experience His transforming love, and He is not willing for even one to perish. (2 Peter 3:9; 1 Timothy 2:3-6)
We believe the promise of eternal life is for everyone with an intimate relationship with Father and Son, for there is no life outside God. (John 17:3; John 3:16-17; 1 John 5:11-12)
We believe the Bible is divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit, revealing the Word of God, who is Jesus Christ. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; John 1:1-14; John 5:39-40)
We believe the kingdom of God is hidden in plain sight with the birth of every newborn baby on planet Earth because little children are not yet connected with the human reason and independence that reinforces the lie of separation. As a result, their beautiful innocence, intuitive dependence, and wholehearted need for love display God's kingdom and all its glory like nothing else could. (Matthew 18:1-5; Luke 18:15-17; Matthew 11:25-26; Matthew 21:16)
We believe the transforming truth of who we are as God’s children will cause us to love one another as we have been loved (John 15:9; John 13:34-35). This revelation of the Father’s love will bring us out of our orphan mindset and into the eternal unity of God’s family. (John 17:20-23)
We believe there is one God and Father of us all, who is over us all, working in us all and living through us all. (Ephesians 4:4-6)
