My love is sacrificial.

1 John 4:10
This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. NLT

If you ever doubt My love for you in any way, look to the cross My child. For it is the token of My affection that will be displayed for all eternity.

The very essence of love is to lay down its life for the sake of others. And I proved My love for you once and for all when My beloved Son died on a cross two thousand years ago. His sacrifice took away all your sin and made you spotless and without blame.

So when you are feeling hopeless, be reminded of love's sacrifice for you. When you are battling shame, remember the immeasurable price that was paid for your redemption. When you feel afraid, be comforted in knowing My sacrificial love will drive fear away.

And when you are struggling to believe that you are loved, just picture the outstretched arms of My Son hanging on a cross for you and know that is how much I love you.
